The End of Term – Our last two days of term this year are Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th July.
Due to the additional bank holiday for the Queens Platinum Jubilee taking place during the half term break, the school is required to place an additional day’s holiday on the calendar. The additional day will be taken on Wednesday 20th July.
As a result, the last day of term will be Tuesday 19th July.
On the final two days of the academic year all students will be following an adjusted curriculum. This has been designed to develop opportunities for students to make links between the skills required for different subjects that they study. Activities will be delivered to all year groups by the following subjects working together over the two days:
- History – Drama
- Maths – Technology
- Music – MFL
- Art – Music
- Science – Geography
- PE
Additionally, many of the Year 10 students will be participating in their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Awards’ expedition.
The Key Stage 3 end of year awards’ assemblies will also take place during the last two.
The Year 10 and Year 11 Awards’ evening is on Thursday 7th July.
Staggered Start in September
We will run a staggered return for the start of the next academic year. This will allow the new Year 7 students to settle in with the support of the Year 11 students before the rest of the school are on the premises. The first day back at school for each year group will be the following:
Tuesday 6th September – Year 7 and Year 11
Wednesday 7th September – Year 8, 9 and 10
Please continue to stay safe and well, enjoy the summer and if you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact us.
