CCBC Friends (PTA)

Welcome to the CCBC Friends page, our version of a PTA. CCBC Friends has a Facebook page where you can find all the up to date information on fundraising meetings and events. We also have a notice board just inside the main school entrance with posters of forthcoming events and meetings.

The CCBC Friends meets once every half term – the date is always publicised in the College News and on our Facebook page. Everybody is welcome. Senior staff members attend these meetings and we are given an update on school issues and have the opportunity to ask questions in an informal environment. It is also a way of meeting other parents and hopefully having some fundraising valuable funds that benefit all our children.

In the CCBC Friends everyone does what they can, when they can, in whatever way. This might be helping to organise an event, volunteering your time to support events, making cakes or contributing prizes or simply attending the meetings and contributing your ideas. The CCBC Friends works closely with the school and raises much needed funds for the Community College – your involvement can really make a difference.

Getting involved in the CCBC Friends need not be an arduous task. All parent/carers of a student at the college are automatically members of the CCBC Friends. We recently changed the constitution to become a friends of the school association so that we could welcome ex parents, pupils and people from the community to join us so now anyone over 18 who wishes to offer support the school can be nominated by parents or staff to become members of the CCBC Friends if accepted by the committee.

Our Team:

Chair: Mrs Rebecca Murcott
