The Community College supports students in many ways to achieve the best possible outcomes both during their time at the college, and when they progress to their next stages.
The library is available to students to access during breaks and lunchtimes and has a wealth of resources to support students with their studies, and to help them to develop their skills and interest in reading. There is also access here to computers for students at these times.
HW Hub is held in the library from Monday to Thursday from 3:25 pm until 4:30 pm. Students do not need to book to attend, but can come when they wish to gain support with homework from staff on duty, or simply to have a peaceful place in which to complete work with access to computers.
We have a dedicated Student Support Officer who works with students who may be in need of additional support. The Student Support room is open before the start of the college day, and at break and lunchtimes.
Our school counsellor offers support to students which can be accessed either through a conversation with your child’s Learning Coach or Head of House or by emailing directly to counselling@communitycollegebc.org.uk. The counsellor also runs support for parents through Understanding your Child workshops and courses.
