You may be aware the World Cup will be taking place in Qatar from the 20th November. From the home nations countries both England and Wales have qualified and will be competing in the same group.
As part of giving our students the opportunity to participate in wider cultural activities as a group we are reorganising the day for the two group games involving England and Wales that occur during the school day. We feel it is important to do this for both of the home nations involved as the demographic of our school is very much 50% English and 50% Welsh.
On Monday 21st and Friday 25th November everyone will be given the opportunity to watch the games under supervision on the big screen in the school hall. As part of getting into the spirit of the events and coming together as a community students will be encouraged to attend in team colours on the day of the games.
There will be some students who would rather participate in other activities instead of watching the games, we will ensure that there is an alternative option available for those students for the duration of the games.
